Your information on Miles Orton, the elder, is correct however the Miles Orton in discussion with Mrs. Richardson was about his nephew as seen in this picture taken in 1950 while visiting the Kelly-Miller Circus playing the Des Moines area.

That does not look like your mom Buckles. She must have aged backwards. I knew her in the 60s and she looked much much younger to me. One of my all time favorite ladies. She gave me my sense of humor about circus performers. Great lady. I knew her before I even met you.

Thanks for posting that circus history web site. I read that Bandwagon article and it was great. Very interesting and informative. So Buckles....I am trying to get this straight, Sarah is your mother and her brother is my great grandfather Miles? I think I got it.
