Guess if I took the sticker price off my glass I could see better. Thought my eyes were blurry.

Buckles: The year that all the publicity was centered around the two young elephants "Romeo and Juliet," Graham Chipperfield told me that the male's name was actually Ted- by what name is this elephant known today?

Buckles said...

I renamed him "Ted" but after I left it reverted back to "Romeo".
Don't know what he is called today.
Don't suppose it makes any difference since you can't work him anyway.

Anonymous, this is TED S. that has a longggg last name, and worked with Buckles for a long time, worked one end ring in Menage in 1978 on the RBBB show (blue) and later became boss elephant man on the RBBB show (Blue) and was killed when the RBBB train had that wreck back in 1993/1994...on Ted's first trip out as boss elephant man (they did not even get the train out of FL) That's the time Buckles went back to the show to take Ted's place till he could get the Chipperfield guy (Graham?) into working the acts, etc. etc.

Romeo is now one of the breeding males at the Center. He has sired at least two calves that I know of.
