Was this a show owned act? who trained it ?
note all tigers standing on their seats, tiger seems to be giving quite good effort on this jump

The way he is using the whip as a hoop is GREAT! That took a lot of work. To keep the whip round took some doing. I am sooo impressed. The timing had to be perfect. OK You young whipper snappers, PRACTICE PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Everything old is new again. Throw away those hulahoops.

Wasn't the tiger act Charly brought to the Ringling Show in 1964 owned by a Matron of the Arts?

The tiger act was owned by Ada Aureden, the owner of Circus Roland. After a few years with Ringling she sold the act to the show.

I saw this act at Bertram Mills Olympia in the winter '58. It was a good act for its time, but nothing like Charlie did in later years. The trick, jumping through the whip, was quite common in Europe at that time. I did it with a male lion and also a black panther in the past. I am pretty sure the act originally belonged to Klant Hagenbeck, which is where Charlie worked, and was purchased by Circus Roland. It also appeared at Blackpool Tower Circus.

on "color correction"
you mean it might be better to let the people see the animals in live action !
What a thought !
Would someone please bring that up at a meeting.
