Here's a nice example of opposition billing. Fall of nineteen-fifty, Biller and Kelly-Miller are both playing Louisiana. The photo was taken by the Kelly-Miller folks so we know that the Biller guys got to the daub first and probably wrapped it from end to end. The Kelly-Miller guys think the Biller crew is still in the area, so they leave them a little piece of the daub as a courtesy hoping Biller won't cover them back up. Note that Kelly-Miller is advertising Pre-War Prices- 42c for kids and 75c for adults. Also you see that the two shows are buying their dates from two different printing firms, hence the difference in the "27" figures and the general layout of the two 6-sheet dates. . Three high and thirteen long for thirty-nine sheets of paper. |
