Is this a spindle? looks like the elephant and trainer are turning by their foot positions.

This photo brings to mind one of the Richters elephants doing the spindle with a girl on top. As the bull began turning on the spindel she pressed into a one foot stand and remained turning under her own power. The gal on top also pressed into a handstand. A real nice picture. They also were quite neat bare back riders. This was on the RBBB the year of the space production with the Zoppes aerial Rocket act.

This Bosco was among the bulls sold Firma Ruhe from Circus Kludsky in 1934. Most of the elephants were sold to Circus Amar in France, but the bulls Bosco, Bhutan and Alfeld were sold to Harry Barlay in Germany, and Erwin Bauer (In the picture) came with the elephants from Kludsky.

Bosco was killed 1953 in Augsburg after attacking Erwin Bauer.
