"The Light Of Asia" #5



I love the headline on this advetisement: "(quarter of a) 100 PERFORMING ELEPHANTS".
This was almost accurate since Forepaugh did carry in excess of twenty elephants in those days but a hundred sounds a lot better.

I hope Billy Powell sees this, it might inspire him to put in the Sarasota Harold Tribune:

From what I understand in circus lingo a herd can consist of one elephant. Three singles in three different rings would mean three herds of performing elephants in all three rings. I believe there are shows that have done just that.
