Khris Allen came into the Marcan tiger organization as a groom for the lady that Josip had hired to present the #2 act on Beatty - Cole. In 1993 before the show opened, she resigned from the tiger act for personal reasons, and Khris began practicing with it. All this time Josip was in Europe with his #1 act, and had never met Khris.

Khris Allen got along very well with all of the tigers, and did an amazing job with this act. In 1996 he presented this "over the head leap" that was trained by Josip, who had since returned from Europe. The female Golden Tabby tiger would leap from the ground, over the head, and back to the ground. Khris remained on Beatty-Cole for 6 seasons, then presented the act as a Fair unit for a few more years. He is no longer with the Marcan organization.

Great Photo - Great Memories -
I saw Khris's Mixed Big Cat Act many times with the CBCB Circus as they moved South down the New Jersey Shore through the middle 90s & always enjoyed this fine presentation ( especialy in the TENT ATMOUSPHIER , STEEL CAGE on a GRASSY LOT ! ). The Cats were always so beautiful especialy at the Night Show in the Spotlights .
( of course these days there New Tent Blacks Out the Matinee Performance Also for that Real Dynamic Appeal )( but , I miss the ole' " Center Pole " & all that rigging etc. )what's the saying
" Often where there there's Gain there's also Losses " ?
Khris's presentation of putting his head in the Lions Mouth realy stood out , impressing & inspiring me to the point of doing a painting of it .

In my opinion, the single most spectacular trick ever done in a cat act. Well done Josip and Khris. Wish I had a photo like that with a cat! Wow! -Pat
