How times have changed!

When I first learned that I was going to be in charge of the elephants with The Greatest Show on Earth I was absolutely overwhelmed. Having been born and raised in the circus business and always in the shadow if the "Big Show", a life's ambition was finally realized.
The first thing I did was to have stationery printed so there would be no doubt in anyone's mind. Being new to the show, the Ringling Press Dept. was very generous in announcing our projected arrival.
As I write this, it is generally known that a new Ken & Nicole Elephant Superintendent toils away in the bowels of the Tampa State Fairgrounds becoming familiar with his new herd and in my opinion the best man available for the job.
So let's all give a big round of applause for Joe Frisco Jr. Posted by Picasa

I went to the Tampa fairgrounds, yesterday, and had a visit with Joe.
He told me, things were going as well as could be expected and that he was doing fine.
Joe is in charge of the herd, and will be the floor man, during the performences.
The management has hired a German fellow to actually work the elephants during the show. But, this fellow has nothing to do with anything else concerning the elephants. It is all up to Joe.
Joe told me, he will be at Showfolk's Club, following the Showfolk's Circus, Saturday night.
He puts in long hours of practice, everyday of the week at the fairgrouds, readying for the 2007 production of the Ken and Nicole Show.

Here's hoping that the current Press Dept lauds Joe for his lifetime of apprenticeship and experience and gives him the kudos he deserves.

There has not been enough press for any of the performers on the Ken and Nicole Shows. You read the business end but nothing about who the show really is."THE PERFORMERS" They need to hire real press staff who knows circus. Good luck JOE. I gave you a O of APPLAUSE earlier this morning.

Though I personally is very excited to see Mr Frisco on the Red, I thought Billy Morris was going to be the Red bull man? Where does this leave Billy. Congradulations Joe and Ginny on getting Red.

I too congratulate Joe & Ginny on their step up to the new and improved version of RBBB. I must admit that I am a bit perplexed at the use of outside elephant acts on the Gold unit this year with great elephant people in abundance and the elephants to choose from. Not taking anything away from Patty Zerbini and Luke, they are a sensation anywhere they go. I realize Patty put in many years at the elephant center and obviously she still has a solid working relationship with the Ringling organization. Financially however, I just don't see it being more econmical to have an outside act than a house act. Maybe Luke is simply the CALMEST elephant around that is available.

Billy Morris is no longer in the circus business. He may return at a future date, but for the time being, he is in the real estate business in Tampa.

The news above from Mr. Elliott is disappointing but an old story.
Once again Tim Holst is covering his ass, if the "German fellow" knew what he was doing, they wouldn't need Joe.
So guess who will do all the work and who will get all the credit?
