Sue, It is never too late to show a beautiful lady in an arena of wild animals. It amazes me that there were so many out there. Different style in wardrobe and all makes for interesting pictures.
I remember Miss Yvonne well. Her real name was Tina Berman. Her first husband was Adrian Berman and they both originally worked for Klant-Hagenbeck in Holland. The lions originally belonged to Knie and were trained by Sailor Jackson. She was one of the most elegant female presenters I ever saw. Gunther told me she was his first girlfriend!
I saw her at the last Bertram Mills Circus Olympia (the one Cyril Mills had nothing to do with), presenting Franz Altoff's mixed group, which was the remains of the old Knie mixed group. She later presented Franz Altoff's 7 tigers, which is the act Sue refers to at Blackpool. I later bought the ring cage and props from this act. Incidentally the props were from the Knie mixed group, so they had been around quite a bit. I still have the ring cage to this day.
Mr Clubb, One never throws away an arena used to work wild animals. JC might find it and recycle it.
