maybe old PT didn't have industrial talcum powder !We had to make our African elephant 'Bandula' white for a chocolate advert. The non-toxic powder worked well ;-) Posted by Picasa

Capt what elephant is this? Would it be Abu that was released back into the wild? I heard it didn't work and he got killed.

Thanks ndlovu8, If I could read better I would have seen the name of your elephant. It looked so much like Abu thats what got me. I worked Abu in Dallas in 78 at the Grand Praire park the Hunts owned.

Are you anywhere near Durban? Back in the 1970's, 4 elephants enroute from UK to Australia I think ended up somewhere near there. The ship was forced into port there, then the Aust government wouldn't let them into the country. Do you happen know where they ended up or are they still alive. I believe they were young animals.

yesterday i was watching the movie "Smokey and the Bandit II" with Sally Field and Burt Reynolds in german television !
In the movie was a elephant.
Did u make the movie with Anna-May,because the elephant in this movie looks like her !?

No, that was Bill Morris' elephant "Jewel". I thought she did a good job.
