The Circus is coming to town! #1

A few days ago, while at a Convenience Store paying for a six-pack and cigarettes, I glanced down at the counter:
"And what to my wond'rous eyes did appear? Either Toby Tyler or Barnes & Dailey will be here!"

I am personally waiting for a day when you buy a ticket and the Parking, Program and Floss are free. A slightly better deal. Posted by Picasa

RINGLING BLINKED!
Notice how prominent the tigers are in this ad. After last year's horrible decision to eliminate big cats from the BLUE SHOW and the subsequent avalanche of phone calls and letters from disappointed circus patrons, RBBB has learned a lesson (go figure) and are FEATURING big cats on this year's RED SHOW which as we know will be working the route that the BLUE SHOW played last season. Also, to fend off future phone calls and letters from disappointed circus patrons the great RBBB owners have added Pages' cats to the BLUE SHOW.
GEE, I thought RBBB paid a lot of money to demograhers to figure out what the public wanted to see. Maybe RBBB should ask for a refund from their high-falutin research department.
HEY--so what's the deal with FREE FRIDAYS? I've never paid for a Friday.

Historians will record that the end came when the show switched to the Ice Show format, reducing the arena's seating to accomodate the show.
The death rattle came when they had to give tickets away with hopes that the overpriced concessions would pick up the slack.

Recently attended DISNEY ON ICE, tickets almost $40.00; light up sword $20.00 and snow-cones in a souvenir cup $10.00.
I noticed several tables with applications for an instant second mortgage for those short on cash (I'm kidding).

Once upon a time at Circus World, during the last few struggling months when the park resembled a fish out of water gasping hopelessly for a few dollars to stay alive, the powers that be sent the alley to international drive armed with free tickets so Monahan could make a few bucks selling the merchandise that I now look for daily on e-bay.
