The big top layout is so different from those over here. Was this whole front side for the public entrance/exits? cc
Big Apple Circus has this type arrangement. The tent in front is called a "Reception Tent".
This arrangement makes it more convenient for the public to buy concessions, make the doniker run or both during intermission. Particularly during the winter run in NYC.
While there, you might also receive instructions on how to donate funds to the Clown Care Unit.
It was knowing here as a foyer tent, it was the main enterance and exit

That pic probably taken about 1961.
the tents we used for Aust, NZ, Japan, were made early 1970's, alot bigger than that one in pic. We could sit 7400 in that tent for Monte Carlo tour. Nice to hear from you Raul,
