Norman Barrett (From Sue Lenz)


"Thanks for including some of the pictures I sent you. I hadn't realized that so many people here in America are familiar with him.
Just an update, Norman is still Ringmaster with Zippo's Circus also doing his Budgie Act. Early next year he will be going to Monte Carlo for the Circus Festival.
We have been divorced for over 42 years but have remained good friends."

A great long term friend of mine! Truly the greatest ringmaster of them all. He saved the life of Luis Palacio at Blackpool Tower Circus in 1986. This was my group of 8 male lions. Luis wouldn't be with us today if it hadn't been for Norman's courageous actions.

Norman told me that as a boy he always wanted to be a lion trainer, but his father told him that ringmaster live longer!
