A brave man in more ways then one. The wardrobe fits right in with ROMAN RIDING. A very classy act.

This is a classic circus photo if ever I saw one!

I think the last time I saw this was on Big Apple being performed by Katja Schumann

Maybe if Ms. Feld ever decides to put those "yucky round things" back on the floor, Ringling could do something like this in the future.

Wouldn't an old fashioned circus galop go well with an act like this?

Mr. Barrett was with Big Apple Circus for the 1998-99 tour and unfortunately fell in with the wrong crowd.
He and I and Covington were always up to something unseemly.

I am so pleased that Buckles intrduced me to Norman Barrett during a short visit to the Big Apple. He was very modest about his accomplishments, but alot of enjoyment in recalling crazy incidents and people. Katja joined us in the cookhouse and it was a great morning. He was one of Englands finest ringmasters for some thirty years and it was easy to see why with his handsome, personable bearing in and out of the ring. Yes his parakeet act was sensational due to the increditable stunts the performed and his charming presentation. Incidentally we are endeavoring to hear about Jenda in regard to funeral, memorial either here in Sarasota or Vegas. In phone calls to various people nobody seems to know anything. If any of you out there know anything please let us know. Thanks
