Is it possible that the bandleader is Charlie Stevenson? I don't know if he was on King Bros. Circus.
Newman's Bears ; what a character. His feature trick was a bear doing a handstand . The bear hopped on a table , a big drum roll , the bear hopped into a handstand, Wayne would take his band hat and throw it 20 feet straight up in the air and yell out " How about that " .I remember this well as I worked in a display with him . Also his daughter and son-in-law worked a bear act. He always stole the show when the band hat went into the air ! The show was either Eddy Zachini or Harold Voise if memory serves me right. Wayne inherited a sum of money and invested it in his retirement rather than purchasing a 45 foot ,6 push out, winnabago. A great guy and his family to visit with and have a serious laugh, a good prankster,
