During my years associated with Jim Hetzer, Circus Producer , Huntington, WV and all those small venues in KY and WV this picture of Helen Carpenter brought back memories...Helen used to bring her cats inside the buildings in one of the largest cage wagons I had seen outside of the old big top cage wagons....Of course in these small venues in KY/WV the wagon really looked huge...Was always glad to see the act end so with could get the wagon and cats out of the small building without any problems...Helen was great to work with...Thank you Jimmy Cole for all these great pic's...Will steal one of Tommy Hannefords line...Jim is one of the good guys...

I visited Helen on the Plunkett show, right after her big male tiger had bitten her leopard. Helen was astute with the caregiving. Those bite wounds were so clean and well-attended, I wished the tiger had bitten me.

Hi Joshua. I worked with Helen for a few months when she went out to the islands. I lost touch with her several years ago. The last time I talked to her, she was in Johnson, TX, I think? Since you say you miss her, I guess she has passed away?
