Albert Rix and "Tommy" 1965

Don't know why this picure didn't drop down all he way? Too big a hurry to make the deadline I suppose.
There is a nice picture of Albert in the upcoming 1951 Eric Beheim slides.

Got to spend some time with Mr. Rix in his later years. What a gentleman and talented trainer. As well as a good friend.

NOW! THIS IS A KISS OF DEATH

I saw Jeanette work many times, but never her father. I met him once, on our closing date in Utica, NY, in '72. Mr. Rix was very encouraging and supportive of my thoughts of expanding and improving the act I had, and made some helpful suggestions, which I understand he did with many young trainers coming along.

There are no adjectives that describe Albert Rix, no words in the dictionary that can even come close.

I agree with 24 Hour Man regarding Albert...But, lets not forget Mrs. Rix..I never will forget the time I was invited into their Middletown, NY. Rix home by Mrs. Rix...She didn't know me from Adam..But, let me come out and go through all their Family Pictures for the purpose of printing them in Wilson Poarch's Southern Sawdust..We use many of the Rix pictures for a number of issues...Thanks to Mrs. Rix...She also sent her son for donuts...I believe she made all the Family wardrobe....Well, a few years later during Tommy Hannefords annual White Plains engagement he featured Jeanette Rix and her bears. I made sure that Mrs. Rix had a Special Ringside Seat next to the bear arena. Plus a special Tommy Hanneford Announcement to honor Mrs. Rix. and Jeanette.
