I finally had to remove the "Recent Comments" section on the side bar. I'm still working on why it was loading so slow. As soon as I figure it out I will slap it back on. I know many of you use it a lot. |

To: Shannon - the last three days I was getting a very slow response once on the Blog. When I tried to scroll down it was extremely slow. Just tried it after reading your message and got the usual quick response. I guess the Recent Comments was slowing things down. Hope you can give it a quick fix.
There's a hefty script that it runs to collate all the posts and find the latest messages. Still looking into it.

FYI -
For the last 2 weeks (?) or so, my CPU utilization goes to 100% and stays that way for several minutes - essentially hanging the machine - every time I go to your dad's blog. Eventually CPU utilization drops back to normal and everything is fine from that point on. No other blogs or websites cause the same behavior, and your dad's blog did not cause it previously.
I am running IE6 on W2K and (unbelievable to you, no doubt) good ole dial-up!
