Johnny Cline was very close friends with Clyde Beatty. When Harriett Beatty was found dead in their private car, on October 25, 1950, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, the management decided it should be Johnny who would go back to the dressing wagon and inform Mr. Beatty.

My father was Ray Chandler and my name is Janice (Chandler) Trevino. I seen this picture of Johnny and Princess, Dell and Molly. I think about these people almost every day. As my father and Johnny were very good friends. I remeber when Johnny got Dell. And my Dad bought Princess from a man from Germany who lived in Thousand Oaks when she was small. We lived next door to Johnny and Milonga in Norco. Johnny bought Princess from my dad, when he went to work at Jungleland. Thru out the years the Clines was a second family for me. When I graduated from High School I went on the road with Johnny and Kathy and I worked for John until he became ill. When he passed away may dad and I delivered the 3 elephants to Ben and he was going to go with them to Brazil. the day we left them there was a sad day for all of us. As they were a part of all of our lives for a very long time. Do you know if Princess and Dell are still alive. They Should be about 54 years old now. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about those Elephants.
and the Cline Family. I also rember meeting your dad when i was very young. I also remember going to the Ringling Mueseum. Thank you for all memories.
