Just received an eMail from a Mary Lou Kelly of Feld Entertainment in regard to the impending Legislation in California that would , for all practical purposes, end peforming elephants in that state. She concludes by saying: "We encourage all California Circus Fans and other supporters to contact their Assembly Members and ask them to oppose the Bill". I will certainly do all I can and urge others to do the same. I will ask Shannon to put the complete message on the Blog this afternoon but I must ask, " Where was Ms Kelly when the members of the Circus Historical Society, soon to hold their Annual Convention in Florida, asked permission to tour the Elephant Stud Farm recently?'.
