Rebecca, after all it's the middle of the night in California. Rather than delete Miss Beth's comments maybe we should have you, our resident activist, to respond to her assertions. Might be fun.
Buckles, have to disagree with you on that one. Your blog could very quickly become a magnet for every other Beth minded person, and pretty soon that's all it will be. This is about the only discussion forum of it's kind. There are hundreds of "I hate circus" venues. I say delete our friend.
I agree with Anonymous. The historical value would be lost. The discussion would be forced into a defense and bashing mode rather than friendship and rememberance that it is now. Don't get me wrong. I'll go head to head with them anyday of the week, but in all fairness to you, your, legacy, and all your friends, Please continue to delete the uninformed and opinionated. Bob
i came on in time to read a couple of the plethora of nasty, vicious comments from beth before they were deleted yesterday. they are nothing but venomous hate-filled harassment specifically written to hurt people. they know they aren't going to change any of our minds; they're just mean-spirited people being mean. they lay pretty low in norfolk, except for picketing shows; they know people who live here know how many animals they kill and the ones they murdered in north carolina. they're sick people who live to hurt others.
I have to agree with everyone Buckles. This blog is so special to all of us. I would like nothing better then to answer these nuts. Just look what I did for JC. I must be a born again shit disturber breaker. Please just delete this person and keep the blog the way it is. PERFECT. Any other way I can help I would be glad to.
Buckles -- While things are on the fritz, I thought I'd tell you about a new circus book. Sunday NYTimes has a review of it. It's titled: Ballet of the Elephants. By Leda Schubert; Illustrated by Robert Andrew Parker. Review says it is the "true story about Stravinsky, Balanchine and a whole lot of elephants." Review also says it's about the 1942 "ballet for 50 elephants." Nicknames the whole thing: the "Circus Polka." The Times review says the book is a children's book, aimed for ages 4 to 8. (One illustration shows Balanchine shaking hands with Modoc.) Says the book talks about Stravinsky, Balanchine,Vera Zorina, John Ringling North. Maybe it's really aimed for children of all ages. --- ToddP
To: Bob Cline and Henry Edgar. I totally agree with you both regarding Beth's comments, which I am glad I did not have to read. Buckles, keep on editing her rude remarks off the Blog. Two hundred years ago, one could have said "OFF WITH HER HEAD".
Do us all a big favor and don't respond. My spelling is a joke. You are not. Are you the one whos father ran off with a circus show girl and left you mom and you to fend for yourself. You come across as a very bitter person who has never know real joy. You are to be pitied. Don't look for it here.
It amazes me that AR groups that raise around 30 million a year don't spend a dime to save animals in their native lands let alone build a facility that houses abused or unwanted wildlife in captivity. Must spend to much on legal defense of criminals from ELF and ALF. Plus lining their officer's pockets with well meant donations from the public to help animals. I have spend many years helping wildlife with hard work and stupidity is the cause of most animal suffering. Will get off my soap box now. This is not the place for this arguement.
I hate to chasise the Spelling Bee Champion of EastCup Cake Jr. High School but "looser" should have been spelled "loser". Is that enough conversation?
Will everyone here that thinks the blog is "special" in their lives please stand up!!! I couldn't resist this nut case! What in the hell does she want to know exactly? Go to the Ringling website or the library??? Annie
Some people are so miserable with their lives that they are jealous of us that had great ones with lots of experiences! Poor Beth I bet her folks never took her to a show!
I’ve been loading in disney shows for a few daze, and striking for a few daze more and it seem like I missed the fireworks. But I’m standing up, and after I get a daze sleep I stand up again. This elephant looks like he has three legs and a Johnson, no wonder he needed wings.

What elephant l.j.? Whats a johnson? You sure write tired. Get some rest. Today has kind of reminded me of the fun we had on Circus News. Do you know their still reading our post. Almost 4,000 hits and its been over 6 months since anything new has been written.
I just now got the picture of the butterfly elephant. This must be what Little John was writing about. I thought he was just tired and seeing things. My "MIXED BREED" dog club has a holloween party for the nurseing home in St Louis. We make costumes and have a parade for the folks. I am printing out pictures on the blog to show and maybe give some new ideas to the members. Thank god the dogs are small. See how many useful things this blog comes up with!!

I think this beth chick must be hot!! Can you find out if she's single?
She's definitely single, and I'm sure it's obvious why.
