Can this Wizard of OZ mend the many broken hearts. He could give the Felds a couple while he is at it. There is no way the Felds can make an elephant ugly! They do their act no matter what and just pray for a better show and for Nicole to grow up and put away her toys before they are all broken.
Is this the 'No-Ice Capades'?
Hello.. I'm klsdad!! Great to be here. I'm a circus fan.. but more closely...an elephant fan!!
I took this picture a week ago on opening night at Madison Square Garden.
I first learned of the new format when I couldn't get my usual "show" side seat on Ticketmaster. Their Internet site would only give me a seat in the end of the arena. When I went to the box office I nearly fell over when the lady handed me the new circus seating chart..and learned that the RBBB show now faces one end of the area..and only goes down to about where the third ring would be.
As you may know.. and the best way that I can say it for now..is...
They've taken the spectable out of The Greatest Show On Earth!!
(I'm thinking they should stop using the name..even though they own it! It's false advertising!!)
I'm 71.. and saw my first elephant (among many) in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in the late 30's under tent. And.. I was "hooked".. (no pun intended...Well maybe!!)
My Mother always told the story that they bought me peanuts to feed the elephants.. but when I was about half-way through the small bag.. I looked up and asked.. "Do I have to give them all to the elephants?"
I've followed circuses over the years.. and have photos and comments..and memories I'll be sharing from time to time. I didn't realize that this is THE Circus elephant site in the world!!
I'm in heaven!! (So far I'm only up to Oct 2005.. and loving every minute!!)
My hats off to all of you, especially "Buckles"..or..Mr. Woodcock to me....
I'm one of those happy, supportive.. envious people you did all your wonderous work for!!
All the best!!

I find that elephants love to share. After my morning pie-car coffee I would often partake of a generous handful of the 'sweet-feed' Gunther had on hand for his girls. Mmmmm, molasses and oats... I'm hungry!
Those elephants there on the screen get fascinated about everybody out on the stage and there was also a part when they squirted water on some people. Very cool part about this circus!
I really remember that
Everybody on the stage could have heard back about those elephants.
