Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth #2


These chain driven trucks were amazingly durable but I'll bet the teamster in the background thought they were a passing fancy.

Life would be a lot simpler if it was. This put a lot of men out of healthy outdoor work and into a factory. Wish we could have kept the good things in life along with progress. If we knew then what we know know maybe we would not have been in such a hurry to be modern. Where have all the beautiful horses gone?

I believe this was the first tractor ever on B&B and should be around 1917. The Ringlings, though they owned B&B at the time, never did have one on their namesake show. They went with horses only until the 1919 merger
