Cole Bros. Circus 1947


Circus Fan Charles Kitto took this picture of his son Bobby and myself on the lot in Rockford, Ill. As you can see I was a pretty good sized kid already at 12.

Buckles, never in a million years would I have thought this was you. At first glance I thought of that young Indidan [?] boy that came with the baby elephants years ago. Talk about Ganglee!!!! Looks like you are trying to hide your height.

Surprised you noticed, while Mr. Kitto and my dad were looking at old pictures he handed his bull hook to Bobby.

And as to my stately posture, I remember that for some reason I thought I would have to lean over to be included in the shot.

i will bet that holding Mr Woodcocks cane was the high point of Bobbys Summer. I know it would have been mine.

Rockford is my home. Charlie Kitto became a insane circus fan. Made everything. Guess he was living in Beloit or Janeville when died. Nice guy. Crazy
