Barbara and "Nirvana"

These pictures were taken by the Solters & Sabinson people who handled the publicity for the Ringling Show. They were very good to us providing spots in "People", "Us", etc. and in the Garden opening night party were seated with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cronkite.
Sometimes I felt like after four years at the Park in Florida, it was a case of Goober and Gomer go to the big city.

I am sorry I didn't mean to be anonymous yesterday, just messed up that post. I just love coming here and looking at all the great photos because it takes me back to a different era of circus- the circus I remember from being a little girl on the Castle show and Polack show. I just made the DVD of aerialist for myself, but I can tell you Tim Tegge is a great source of vintage videos and photos. He has been kind enough to share many priceless pieces of my families history.

Karen. I always related to the Social Crowd and felt like a duck out of water, clutz and so inferier to the Circus Crowd. Seem like we are never satisfied with our lives. If I had to chose I would take the Circus Crowd in a blink of my eyes. Those few years with the Circus were the high point of my life. I have just now begin to notice how I took them for granted. If we just knew then what we know now what a world it would be.
