St. George and the Dragon

Here are some more children's floats showing the wisdom circus owners have used for over 100 years in catering to kids.
We all remember the magnificent "Old King Cole" spec, then Robert Ringling's "Cinderella" and John North's "Twas the Night Before Christmas".

Buckles what ever happened to Morgan Berrys Elephants after his death. I know that Teak was distroyed after Eloise accident. What ever happened to Winkie and Meti as well. I remember those from the farm, and Meti traveled with us 3 seasons while being trained.

Saw a old friend at a zoo in ohio yesterday. A male lion I trained years ago. Talking to the keeper he stated that the animal was 22 years old. I then told him when I had him he was 3 and that was 27 years ago. He is almost blind now and the zoo said that he came from the Ringling Show along with 4 tigers. And that I was a dirty @#)#%@ for training him and subjecting him to a life of captive slavery.I was then asked to leave.

Was looking at a old Polack Bros Circus program from 1968. Boy those were the days as a young child I spent a lot of time on that show as my grandfather did a lot of work for Louis Stern as well as Hubert Castle. Setting up Shrine dates. I think it was 1970 he did some work For James Bros Circus setting up some dated in Indiana (Gary and South Bend) If I remember Buckles you were working the elephants on that show. He had to stop Jack Mills from Repossessing the seat wagons on that show in Gary Indiana.

Buckles-
Didn't you once tell me you were in the movie GSOE, driving a wagon in spec, with a Christmas tree on your head/hat? I think it's but a brief glimpse, but everytime I think of Christmas/GSOE/you I remember the conjour up that scene from the movie, in my head!
Happy Holidays to you, and your, from the "Frozen Tundra" area!
Peter

As a one time zoo keeper I'm appalled by the report from anonymous in Ohio. If somebody said that to me I'd want to see the General Curator, the Director, and I'd be writing to the AZA. The parks that try to make peace with animal liberation and or hire staff who will gleefully betray them when one or another liberation group comes calling seem to forget that when the circus is gone the zoo just becomes the next priority target.

Living to be 30 years old is a great tesamony [?] for the care circus and zoo animals give their animals. That lion would not have lived very long in the wild. Some people have no common sense, I would have insisted on talking to the main man myself. The man did serious damage to the zoo with his comment. He's butt would be off the zoo property so fast he would not know what happened. Then he could contact peta to complain and another a/r person recruited. Another EXPERT on animal care.

Can we get the name of that zoo and the keeper?
