Notation on the back of this picture says "The late Jess Adkins, taken on June 19, 1940 and died June 24".

For those who haven't visited the cemetery in Peru, Jess Adkins's grave is easily found once you see the 4 very tall,slender cedar trees. They surround his resting place. He was only 54.
