Brewery Act #2

I think this was a show being done in the Peru Quarters. Mr. Mix out front but to the experienced eye, Mr. Agee in the background is giving the cues. The tops would be removed from these barrells , repositioned and the horses would galop around the ring leaping in and out of them. The following pictures show the amazing conclusion to the act.

These horse tricks reminded me of a routine in Mike Kostial's chimp show at the St. Louis Zoo. Chimps riding ponies were the feature of the second part of the show. The featured pony would jump through a hoop and then the hoop would be taken out of it's cradle. It was then an open ring about two feet high with a rim about 6" wide around the top. The pony would jump inside, place his foot feet on the rim and walk around. (This description explains why a picture is worth 1,000 words.) I has never seen a comparable trick until these photos. No one would want to take the prop on the road.
