Ben Wallace #2

These gentlemen are the front door staff with Wallace himself standing at left. By 1890 the show moved on 28 cars and the big top was 120' across and two 60' middle pieces.
Wallace never carried more then a half dozen elephants but for some reason the majority were usually males which led to considerable excitement. Their first year out they bought a pretty good sized tusker from a New York animal dealer named Donald Burns and was named "Diamond" but no connection to the future "Black Diamond"
