Lincoln Center 1990

Twenty four years later and still in action.

I sent out my first picture on the internet on 8/21/04 and over a thousand pictures later I seem to run into a brick wall. Too bad AOL shut me down, I used to enjoy the chit chat, now with this new system I have no idea if anyone even looks at the stuff.
A friend of mine complained "This blog business is like having sex with your clothes on."
I'll give it a little longer.

You mean you are supposed to undress for sex? UGH!! The lady on the right looks like Bett Mitler(sic) Who is on the left.? I had four request for the adddress in the last week. Everyone talks about the Blog Buckles. Some people just are not chatty like some of us. Some of your pictures are just beautiful without words. Like the ones of your family. I never knew your little ones, so can not comment on them. How many times can you say they are beautiful and wish they were still on a circus.?

This is Barbara and Bette Midler, some sort of Old Show Broad gathering.
Thanks for the kind words.

Buckles, a while back you mentioned joining your folks in Hugo. Please wait until you have mailed ALL your pictures and stories and the ones fans send in. Should last for another 20 years. You make too many people happy and give some something to look foreward to everyday. I am hooked, thats for sure. Bless you. PS I was jokeing about not knowing who Barbara was in that picture. It was odd to see her with clothes on. Especially a coat. The one with the elephants she was not wearing a head piece, which was very rare. It always amazed me how she kept them on. I never could. They gave me a headache.

Your Blog is the first place I go in the morning when I log on for the day. It is worth much more to me than my memberships in the CFA and CHS, yet it is free! Keep up the good work!

Just have to make another comment. Those non animal circuses that were a fad a while ago are not family entertainment. Grown men in stupid costumes and scary make up do not cut it as a circus. Grown men rubbing up against another person or thing is not entertainment for family. Bright lights and special effects do not make up for talent. If this is the future of the circus god help up and let it die quickly. Our kids deserve better and nothing will ever be better than an old fashion mud show circus with elephants, tigers, camels, Painted wagons.etc. My friends who do not have computers really look forward to me showing them the printouts I make of your blog everyday. The nurseing home folks tell stories about when the circuses came to their town. It makes more people happy then you ever imigagiman (sic). PS I am not in a nurseing home. Just visit with my dogs.

Bob Cline here, I can't get the Blogger login to let me have a user name so I'm still anonymous. We have conversed for over a year now by email and your blog. The CWM library can't hold a candlestick to the wealth of information you have provided. Mr. Dahlinger is a notable historian in is own right without the Museum and I look forward to his comments on the CHS website also. You keep up the good work. There's a grassy lot and blue skies in front of us everyday when we see your show come to town. My deepest appreciation to you for your generous offerings. Bob

Yep - coffee and Buckles, that has become the morning routine! When I check in at 700 and there is no picture yet, I'm thinking you've been off the road too long, or took up jogging! Please don't stop..you will have a whole lot of people with nothing to read but bad news ! carol

I think your blog business is a huge success. Your pictures are terrific. Your short commentaries speak volumes. A lot of the information you write is new to your readers. And,of course, all your information is firsthand. That's what's so special about it. Also, laced with the facts, there are lots of smiles. Please keep posting the pictures, telling the stories, and providing your wit and wisdom. --- ToddP
