Sells-Floto Circus 1918/ Cook house blowdown #2


What a mess, the ground looks completely dry tho, must have been another one of those dust storms that come out of nowhere.
The tent in the background survived so the storm couldn't have been too bad. As a rule the marquee and cook house are the first things to go.

Food at Mudd Show Tents was some of the best. One season something happened to the cook house truck and they had no refridgeation(?). We had ham fixed a trillion ways, breakfast. lunch and dinner. It was wonderful for the last two weeks of the show. Now I can not stand to eat it. Just not the same. Couldn't get away with that today. Another wonderful thing I remember about Kelly Miller. No one complained. The only thing I did not like was who sat at what table. Talk about segregation!!
