The return from Peru

Our flight from Indianapolis to Atlanta was cancelled so we were switched over from Delta to Trans Air and while undergoing the humiliating process of doing the Chain Gang Shuffle carrying shoes in one hand and luggage in the other, John and I were selected for further scrutiny by having to sit in a chair while a metal detector examined the bottom of our feet, stand spread eagle while the baton then traveled inside our legs and upward and finally our bags unloaded and contents rechecked.

As everyone knows moving thru the Atlanta Airport is little different from what Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh went thru but on the final leg to Sarasota the Delta lady mistakenly put us on a flight for the following morning. We discovered this with 30 minutes to spare and after 15 minutes of argument we took off for the proper gate, thru the mass of humanity, down the long escalator to the shuttle train, the trip to Concourse E, up the long escalator where the Colonel commandeered a driver with an electric cart and with the command "Rack on driver!" we arrived at the proper flight as they were just closing the door. Two seats remained, John sat by the exit door and I was placed in the backend blues.

On the top of my "incompetency list" AOL has now been replaced by Delta Airlines.

Delta could use a season on a circus as to how to load, unload schedule, handle props, etc. I am beginning to believe the circus is the only effectent(?) way to travel. I have been bumpted to first class airline seats just for no complaining about the service of the airlines twice. Glad you are back in one piece and down to business again of making hundreds of old timers happy and amazing the younger ones with a life style that will never be bested. Scary is,nt it?

Sorry, to hear about your experience with Delta. I been with Delta for 17 years. I been tossing bags for them 15 and now make 45 an hour with 3 weeks vacation by tossing bags. Thanks to the Union people have no incentive to work. The employees at Delta know it does matter how hard you work as long as the Union leaders make the right decision you will always have a great paying job for little work.

Rebecca,

My life style is the best. I barely work and I get paid like I am working overtime. You can't beat that. My dad worked as a free hand for RBBB and I saw the type of work he did, travelling and working hours on end fo small wages. He was playboy but he's envious of my life style.

Billy,

Your the reason why communisim doesn't work. People that don't have any pride and work ethic like you or delta employees are why RUSSIA is struggling. To many "where's my piece of the pie even thought I did nothing" type of people. Free hands on the RBBB is the lowest form of work on the circus nothing is lower than Free hand.

Russia, is no longer a socialist government. Communism still works in Cuba, so don't tell me it doesnt' work and it works at delta too.

Kevin, you beat me to it on Billy. Thats how it is today. People like him have no pride what soever. Is this the Billy who worked the Zoo and can't tell one elephant from another? Also the one that thinks Beatty was the trainer? I can't fine anyone to work no matter what the pay. My HERO who will not be named was born to great wealth, yet I have yet to meet anyone who could out work him. He went 20 hours a day and could do any job to be done and do it better then anyone. It was so hard living with god. When I think I am so tired and have done my best, I ask myself, What would $$$$ find to bitch about and continue on with the work. This has worked for me for years. Are there two Billys and two Larrys on the blog?
