Who is the moderator for this site? I would like to know where these fablous pictures are coming from. Who is the owner of these beautifull collections of photos.

Rebecca seems to be the moderator. She seems to be the only one posting replies. I believe it's Rebecca's website and she's posting the pictures.

NO NO NO I just love the circus. Buckles and his son Shannon are the owners. I am honored that you might think I am the owner, but let me assure you I am just reliving my circus years through this blog. Its Buckles collection and you haven't seen anything yet.

Trevor Bale was certianly a lifelong unique clasic International Circus Master; he was a dignifed gentleman whitty , clevor & charizmatic along with the many acts he pionered, he could tell a tale with great charm & excitement, likewise Mr. Woodcock & the rest of these alltime great men of the 20th Centry Circus Era.

Trevor and Jewel New used to plan chess in Jewel's dressing room at Circus World in Haines City. Buckles and Barbara were on the other side of the trailer. Trevor was a witty old bugger! Lots of laughs! Gary

Trevor Bale presented a liberty act at Circus World in my adventurer as a stage hand, stage mangier, ride goof, and clown. I have many stories but the two that stand out are of Trevor and Buddy doing the levitation gag and Trevor pulls out a carrot from nowhere and sends Buddy into a trance, and the other story is when I was a clown and Trevor added Christmas tree lights to his horse hoops. The clowns were supposed to unplug the hoops and move them at one point during the act, well the horses had frayed the wires and when I grabbed the hoop I got shocked. Well the electrical shook was nothing to the Trevor whip popper on my ass when I didn’t move his hope quick enough. And Gray, real cute the way you told me how to stretch out George.

I will have to say the old timers kept us in our place. We learned fast and right. None of this candy ass way of teaching that goes on now. and not just in the intertainment field. Young folkes learned a trade and it was work or starve. This was before lawyers and a/r. The world was a much happier place and more healthy. Animals and human alike. You worked your fanny off and earned respect from those after you. Ask a few of the older show girls how they learned you did not enter the ring without a smile and your toes pointed. The Chineze had nothing on us. You learned fast and never forgot. I alway look at the feet of show girls to see how good a performer they are. This does not apply to girls who do not work with animals. They have to wear high heels. I would love to have a web site just for mature show girls to remember those days. We never get old, just wiser. Some of the things we did to look glamours would curl your hair. And we loved every minute of it. I remember one show girl Darlene who barbara bleached her hair and then gave her a perm. Darlenes hair fell out so Barbara traded places with her in the show until they came up with a way to save the hair. Do you Remember that Barbara? I have always looked for Darlene when a circus comes to town. I keep forgetting she would no longer be a show girl.
