"Gentry Babe" flanked by Wally Ross and George Emerson during filming.
For some unknown reason, "Babe" was by far the most commonly used name for an elephant, very confusing for historians. This one started out with the Gentry Bros. Dog & Pony show around the turn of the Century hence, "Gentry Babe".

I don't know the particulars on this truck wreck, it appears to be one of Holter's rigs.
"Babe" views the debris after having been unloaded from the truck in the background.

"George A. Emerson, Metro Goldwyn Mayer's head animal trainer for QUO VADIS discusses lions with Eric Klent, Dutch Zoo owner, in Rome.
Emerson obtained 20 lions from Klent after a trip that took him from North Africa throughout Europe.
Twenty two lions were used in the film, the other two being made available thru a deal with Jim Roose of Circus Rancy."
