The Lambeth Walk became a huge dance fad in England in 1938

following it's premiere in the 1937 musical "Me and My Girl"

which was revived in London in 1985 & on Broadway in 1986

Back in 1987, I had the opportunity to play for the national touring company production of ME AND MY GIRL (starring Tim Curry) when it appeared in San Diego’s Civic Theater. This was a revival of the 1937 British musical that introduced “The Lambeth Walk.” Wikipedia has an informative posting about “The Lambeth Walk” which is well worth looking at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lambeth_Walk. Glad to see you're enjoying the company of your Peggy. Miss mine pretty much, but that's life. Can't complain though, just turned 88. Keep busy working on family history, and no end in sight.
