# 1 More Polack Bros.

So named after Shows' owners Louis P. Stern and Bessie Polack but not a good idea, I was constantly plagued with "....what's that now The Babalubas?"

#2 More Polack Bros.

The famous Besalou Elephants "Mary", "Jean", "Millie", "Betty", "Kathy" and "Opal" named after friends and Polack Show personnel such as Millie Ward, Betty Bell, Kathy Goebel and Opal Paige.

#3 More Polack Bros.

Mack told me he thought this was the best trick he ever trained.

#4 More Polack Bros.

Sam Ward in charge of Promotion and Louis P. Stern the best Boss I ever had!

"Opal" did a good Whirl!

#8 More Polack Bros.

Somewhere along the line the subject of an African elephant came up and I said Why Not?
I named her "Kenya".

#10 More Polack Bros.

We called this the "Hand Shake".

#11 More Polack Bros.

I remember my father training this tambourine dance.
He had seen it done by one of the Powers elephants but she simply stood still and whacked it on her knees.
When he started with "Anna May" she had already did a front leg skip and mistakenly jumbled them together.
Later my wife and she made a two minute dance routine out of it.

Marching the herd from their stabling area to the Pomona Fairgrounds infield "Anna May" in the lead.

#14 More Polack Bros.

Everybody wanted to put "Baby Stella" on display so we would briefly stop the act and Jimmy Douglas would lead her around the ring while the Band played "Pretty Baby".

More Sullivan!

One year the dates conflicted so I sent Barbara and Ben with "Opal" and worked the other five alone.

It Was A Really Big Shoe!

#1 Ed Sullivan

While with Polack Bros. Circus we made regular appearances on the Sullivan Show, a policy established long before us by Peggy and Mack MacDonald and the wonderful elephant "Opal"

#2 Ed Sullivan

As I recall this was their first Broadcast in color.

#3 Ed Sullivan

This year included "Baby Stella" seen being brought in by "Anna May".
