From Paul Gutheil

Spent most of the day yesterday with RBBB Blue in Newark.
Saw 3 & 7 shows.   As you must know,  6 bulls.  Happily surprised
to see they brought Patrick Harned up.  Had nice visit with him &
Sonny Ridley, probably the last time I'll see him after 35 years or so.
Last time I personally will see elephants on RBBB,  sad, very, very sad
Probably my last visit with Sonny Ridley after about 35 years.  Alex
            Vargas on hand too.
How many did you have on RBBB in '94,  14 ?

"We had twenty four!'
......Watch It! Peggy's about to eat your camera bag!

Son of gun, I knew you had a lot, but couldn't recall, damnit, A beautiful even two dozen, and we spent a few days with you dear folks. Well, back to the photo files.
Who was the lady you were giving the douche to back then? Dear Lord, those were the days!!!

PS, Peggy, fortunately did not eat my camera bag, but a few years later one of Mary Ruth's dogs christened it . . . and I'm still using it, sentimental old fool that I am.

No problem Barbara but to explain

further that the standard 3 colors

for striplight glass has been red

blue & green since their earliest

use in theater lighting as they

were mostly used as overhead or

as an upstage skydrop groundrow

These could be blended to provide

nearly any color but when used as

footlights around the track did

not get blended & weren't kind

to the passing parade & costumes

Don asked me if anything might

be done to provide warmer color

such as pink in the striplights

Kopp was & still is the primary

glass manufacturer for roundels

I visited their corporate office

in Pittsburgh & met with several

of the big wigs & engineers who

took an interest in our rather

unusual request & what it would

take for them to formulate the

dye process & to custom run a

rather tiny batch of glass for

us but surprisedly agreed to it

Hence our Pink Roundels

I might still have the original

sample which will be yours (if

I can find it)
