Buckles said...: There was a long time elephant man on the Ringling Show named Vernon Duffy who pretty much showed up for work when he pleased. When Smokey took over the elephants he told him to be on time like everyone else or move over to another department.
Duffy's parting shot was "You'll want me back, I'm the only person that can get "Ruth" to drink her water.
