The Hubley Manufacturing Co. of Lancaster, Pa., founded in the early 1890s, made horse-drawn vehicles, trains, mechanical banks and toy stoves. In 1906 Hubley had introduced a series of horse-drawn circus wagons and accessories known as the Royal Circus that grew until 1926 to include as many as 25 major items. World War II brought an end to toy making at Hubley but production was resumed after the war, though cast-iron toys were discontinued. |
