Did DeMille shoot the GSOE during the '51 or '52 season? ~frank
The movie was filmed in 1951 and in theaters in 1952.With all that free publicity, you would think that '52 would have been a winner but history tells us that the last big season was 1948.
This is the parade at the end of the film:http://www.youtube.com/user/SnifflesMcGee#p/fThis is the trailer for the movie that appeared in the theaters prior to the release of the movie:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggnE9DyX0yE-----
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFl0bpY3_74The trailer for the motion picture, Billy Rose's JUMBO.The music was written 75 years ago, yet it still works, for me anyway.
52 was a winner in Beloit, WI, when my dad's service club sponsored them on Labor Day. The show drew 2 straw houses and I mean straw houses.Bob Kitto
