Sir, i am deeply sorry , but i have to ask you to cancel and delete the articles about "le magazine du cirque et de l'illusion" that you scan and show on your blog, because there is a copyright about this mag and this is a private mag printed in France. For example, on wednesday, november 11, you show the pictures from KNIE 2009 and it is written "reproduction interdite" . It means it is forbidden to make copy of these pictures whitout the agreement of the manager of this mag. Sorry again but that is the law! |

Too bad the managing director didn't try a little "Yankee Ingenuity" and permit some (not all) photos to be shared on this blog; it could have promoted ($$$) new subscriptions.
This is probably the most popular circus blog in the whole world and would have made an excellent platform for promoting the magazine.

I would see what they could actually pull off legally - before removing anything ! I am almost sure they can't do a dam thing !! There is not much they could pull off from outside the USA ! So tell them to get over it ! The bunch of cry baby s !
Buckles - screw them ! They can't do one thing ! 1st of all let them try ! NO court in their right mind would take ANY ACTION on this since you r not making 1 dime off the reproduction - and secondly - even if they try - it would take tears to even move it any where !
This guy is a joke for even sending a stupid email like this to u !!! This shows that all the things france is so known for is true ! They should worry about bigger fish to fry - ! I just can't stop laughing over this 1 !!
I think you are correct - you should go after them for $ since they are getting free advertising and they should be paying you for selling their magazines ! Tell them if they buy you a new updated MAC - computer and server you won't pursue this any further .
I was enjoying the photos from this magazine to the point of trying to track it down and request a subscription. Now, I don't think it is worth the effort.

I completely agree with Warren, great photos and information, but now NOT WORTH the effort to become a subscriber with an attitude like that... besides full credit was given to the publication. Nerts to them.
