Dear Leona,
Have had some miserable cold weather and rain. Rain today and lot is horrible. Stakes are pulling right and left.
Have not had good crowds on the repeat places. The new ones turn out big. Concert gets more than anything and it's the wrestling match between the local opponent and Jimmy Ray that gets them at 50 cents a head too.
Joe Lewis referee but he is colorless. They don't care much about him. We would have done just as well without him. Just a scattering interest shown in him.
About as much as they showed for drunken Doug Autrey.

Unfortunately for Dailey Bros. researchers, Billboard dropped its backyard column (Hazel King was a regular contributor) just as Dailey Bros. was reentering the US from its disastrous 1950 repeat tour of Canada. Ben Davenport's five-ring show (by then reduced to three rings, with lots of performers having left) folded in Hope, Arkansas, on September 21.
