(Killed keeper Charles Barlow in 1909)

Tom Tom appears to have had unusually straight tusks, as opposed to those on Big Charlie. The former's look like those on that huge bull that lived in Africa in recent times, under guard against poachers. Does tusk curvature have anything to do with geographic origin or sub-species?

People say that Ceylonese elephants, like Forepaugh's Bolivar, don't have tusks.

Buckles,
Killed a keeper in 1909. "Drowned 6-24-11 when he became mired in a lake while being watered" Do you suppose "mired" is the same thing as drug to the bottom with an anchor and a boat load of chain? LOL Stranger things have happened.
