This is old news but I haven't seen it on the blog...Wayne McCary, a fine gentleman, will no longer produce the Maine Shrine dates in '08.
Wayne is a long-time fixture in the show business world and is the President of Eastern States Exposition, a world-class mini World's Fair, A/K/A "The Big E."
Wayne produced the dates for 40 years which always featured the best of the best of circus talent.
There are two Shrine temples in Maine and in '08 they will be serviced by two producers as the dates will run concurrently.
The Hamids will produce one and Struppi Hanneford the other, from what I've been told.
Memories remember that the original Geo Hamid #1 was in partnership with Mr. Wirth in a theatrical agency endeavor. The enterprise was known as the WIRTH-HAMID AGENCY.
