What an absolutely exciting picture! Now that would entice some folks to go see a circus. I'm afraid we are getting to a place where the most exciting animal acts presented could be dogs, maybe a hamster or gold fish
I agree completely, Paul. It's a shame, is'nt it. I only know of one person who could put together an act like this now; even if he trained it, there's no place to send it anyway.

This would be one of Alfred Court’s acts from the period 1942-44. We see 3 male lions and 2 polar bears. Atop the pyramid is an American black bear. In Court’s first two year s here, 1940-41, he used Asiatic black bears, a/k/a Himalayan black bears - -no American ones. This photo is from Sarasota quarters.
