Awhile back there was a lot of chatter on the blog about palms and baseball stitches and so on. I ran across this picture of a well-known showman working on canvas and wearing a palm. I imagine everyone will recognize him even with his head down. He's no Red Foker but he seems to be getting the job done. Whitey Yes indeed, I saw this gentleman at Barry Sloan's Memorial last Sunday and unfortunately he had to endure endless heckling over the fact that he had spent forty years keeping the Beatty Show big top upright only to be blown away, house and all in the recent tornado.
