Cook Brothers Circus 1918 #3

All the equipment is well painted, this wagon served as a bandwagon in parade, the number of benches on top indicate they had sizeable band.
And unless I am mistaken, the tent in the background is the same one used by the Big Apple Circus for a big top on their 1978 Manhattan tour.

Hi Bud! Cook Brother's Circus was my grandfather's. D. Clinton Cook. I am researching info on him and the circus. Do you have anything else, or info on where I can search? Thanks!

Boy, did I ever goof!!! I said my grandfather's circus, Cook Bros. Circus, hosted Wild Bill Hickok, and after rechecking my photographs and looking on line, I see that it was Buffalo Bill Cody that performed, along with Annie Oakley, but in their older years. If someone can erase the comment of 8/1/10, I'd sure appreciate it!!! And am still interested in any stories about this circus. Growing up, a lion's head and skin adorned the upstairs hallway railing, making for some scary nightmares. I believe it was from the lioness that killed its trainer in 1917, but can't verify it.
