Cook Brothers Circus 1918 #2


A windy day, all the side show banners at half mast. Hard for me to picture this outfit moving overland. It looks pretty heavy compared to contemporary mud shows of the day.

Do you do picture requests?
how about a photograph
of Adam Forepaugh's
"Bolivar"(ca.1885)
also Forepaugh's "Tip"(ca.1885).
Both these elphants ended up in zoo's.
Bolivar the Philadelphia zoo,
'and Tip,to the Central Patrk zoo in NYC.

I do have a picture of Bolivar in the Philly Zoo. I'll crank it out in a few days.
Fred Dahlinger sent me a picture of Empress as well.
