Thanks Buckles. My ride on the camel on Kelly Miller a few weeks ago was a first to me. They are really sweet animals. My whole consept(sic) of them changed. Cindy Wells explained a lot of their ways to me. I did work with LLamas for a show or two and always liked it. They did their thing and I just stood in the ring like I knew what I was doing. Kind of like my life story.
It surprises me that in recent years as smaller shows, and some bigger shows have given up elephants to avoid regulatory nightmares and constant AR battles that we don't see more strong camel acts. Camel are still exotic enough to make an impression, but domestic enough to present a legitimate legal challenge to exotics bans.
For a couple of years in a row Jack and I had a delightful evening in the Ringling hotel cutting up jackpots. He was a great guy.

When I worked with Jack in the mid to late fifties he had lost "Tiny", bin addition to "Pasha" he had
2Llams, "Fleckles", & Sparky, and a great Zebra named "Zulu", and I seem to remember a Capuchian Monkey riding Pasha. At lest one of the Llams was trained to drive I have a photo of Trudy driving him in spec.
All I have to say on this matter is that the rumor that Harry and I consumed a quart of Crown Royal Whisky apice one evening behind the camel picket line after the performance in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is unfounded.
And that we later created a scene and the Authorities were notified is also groundless.
This was so nice to visit, Jack Joyce was my uncle, he was my mother's only brother, and it was nice to see him remember. I thought he was great and had a great act. By the way I have the same picture, sign by Uncle Jack.
Thanks for the memories.
Hi Jack Joyce, was my Mothers Brother, and I'm pretty sure everyone of his neices have those pictures signed Love Uncle Jack, it's great to see how many people have great memories of him. His niece Colleen Duesler
When Jack Joyce and his camels were in Kansas City in the 1950s, I went for a ride on the camel Tiny. Jack Joyce was my mother's first cousin and we always went to the circus when he was in town. My grandmother and Jack's father were siblings and remained close even though all of his father's siblings remained in the Kansas City area. His father, also Jack Joyce, was a showman also and had Jack Joyce's Wild West Cirkus in Denmark. He was also with Buffalo Bill's show in 1898.
Hello,
I am Jack Joyce's niece..I have several different pictures of Uncle Jack with his acts..I also I have the story of many of his events in his life from his son and also from someone who knew him from Ringling Brothers.. My husband and I saw his bust on display in Sarasota at the Ringling Brothers Museum..He was a terrific man.
His niece,

Ann, I am so pleased that you made yourself known on the blog. Jack was a good friend and fellow animal man ande trainer of both Me and my late fathyer. I have been trying to find the whereabouts, address, etc. of his son. He corre3sponded to me a few years ago and I lost the address. I heard he was in Talahassee, but as of late in Ft. Lauderdale, so if you and he would contact me I would be pleased to bring you up to date on a few things. I think it is very important that the circus fraternity should be able to contact members of these peoples families because of so many important reasons. Jack was an important part of circus history in so many ways and any information you folks might have would add to the whole story.
I am Resp. yours,

sissy,
Although I never met your uncle, I of course know of him well. Since my first day in the circus, I have heard nothing but admiration and respect, when the subject of Jack Joyce comes up.
