Big Modoc #2

This is "Big Modoc" now in her 20's with the James Patterson Circus. She was later sold to Floyd King in 1926 who for the next five seasons used titles such as "Walter L. Main", "Gentry Bros." and "Cole Bros.". The last title was in use in 1930 when the show folded and was sold at auction. "Modoc" was bought by the Ringling Show, shipped into the Peru, Ind. quarters and then to Sarasota the following winter.

Was thinking Jess Adkins had something about getting her to Peru. Jess had worked for Floyd King on Gentry Bros in the 20's. Did she go over to RBBB in 31' or was she on one of the Corp.shows in 31'and go over to RBBB in 32'?
thanks,

No she went to the Ringling Show in 1931 but I'm not sure exactly when.
I always thought that she may have been included with the baggage stock when they were returned to the show from Peru in the Spring.

Who is the Empress? Is she a show girl?

I don't think so. I get the impression that some nefarious elephant man is trying to score.

Yeah, those hair-styles were real popular back then(the ladies not the elephants).
